The History of Corcoran Printing

Corcoran Printing is a third generation family business serving print clients for over 68 years. The staff is led by company president, Bill Corcoran who is a 30+ year veteran of the printing business and is educated in all facets of the industry. The tradition of personalized customer service is carried on with Bill's leadership, staying committed to the vision of his father and grandfather.

"Many printers can have all the best equipment and great technology. Creating and maintaining relationships with buyers and creating the opportunity for technology to work for them is the reason we're in business, why we've remained strong, and how we've continued to grow. We only grow if we help our customers succeed, and we must be painstakingly committed to looking out for the customer by finding the best ways to accomplish their goals." ~ Bill Corcoran

The business began in the family basement in Plains Pennsylvania in 1940, founded by Patrick Corcoran. A school teacher by day, Pat spent nights and weekends printing wedding items and local business flyers, while raising a family of 6 children, most of whom have been involved in printing at some point in their lives. Pat's son Tom took over the company in 1978, and took the leap of expanding the business to Wilkes Barre. Tom and Bill Corcoran grew the Wilkes Barre business since that time by acquiring updated machinery and establishing a loyal client base. The father and son team continued to learn all the intracies of the industry and developed the nitch market of printing stationery, forms and marketing materials for small to medium size companies.

Bill Corcoran took the reins in 1995 and steered the company into the digital age.

Corcoran Printing expanded to a 14,000 sq. ft. facility, remaining in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania. CorcoranPrinting.com was launched, for online ordering and file transfer. Digital color proofing was installed. Computer-To-Plate technology was implemented and additional Heidelberg presses were added to achieve automation that produces superior quality print pieces with maximum efficiency. Customer base evolved into ad agencies, manufacturing companies, marketing firms and small to large businesses requiring fine printing for their full color marketing pieces.

Our staff has grown to over 20 full time employees - a work force still committed to fanatical customer service.
